BT announced today its integrated multichannel ordering and returns solution for retailers. This new phase in BT’s strategy recognises the demands placed on retailers by continued growth of online sales.  In 2007 this represented 5.2 per cent of all UK retail sales which was up from 3.8 per cent in 2006 (source: Verdict Research).

Phase Eight, established in 1979 and one of the UK’s leading women’s fashion retailers, launch their first transactional website on Fresca Commerce, the on demand e-commerce service from BT Fresca. The new website, which went live in March 2008, is the first fully integrated solution from BT Fresca and BT Expedite since the acquisition of Fresca by BT in January 2008

The acquisition will significantly strengthen the e-commerce and IT integration capabilities of BT Expedite, the retail solutions division of BT, enabling it to provide a seamless multichannel shopping experience for retail customers.
