The Conservative Party is one of the two main political parties in the UK. The Party has been in opposition to Labour since 1997, but enjoyed a net increase of 33 seats in the last election, polling 32.3% of the vote compared to Labour on 35.2%.

What?

The Conservative Party was BT Fresca's very first client.

BT Fresca were first invited to design, build and host a new Conservative Party website under William Hague in anticipation of the 2001 election. Featuring a sophisticated, bespoke content management system, the site was generally considered the most advanced political party website of the 2001 election.

BT Fresca was then asked to redesign the site for the 2004 Party Conference, in anticipation of the 2005 election. The application remained largely unchanged, but the new architecture and interface was again generally considered the best of the parties.

With website security a key issue, BT Fresca has hosted and managed the website infrastructure since 2000, managing massive peaks in demand in response to political events.
